Count me in as a watcher, though I do watch it rather sporadically. I get
to watch it whenever i see voyager on tape. Do you know what began the show
or, how he got to be nowhere man?

actually it has, when i am in one of my morbid moods. I agree with you
there i just do not want to. I am an optamist and an idealist at heart.
at present I cannot come up with a better solution. Then again I am not so

how many people exacly is too many. in many other cultures other than
ours, people can gather and live in a peaceful, relatively, coexhistance.
it all deals with how comfortable space is to you, privacy, etc etc. I guess
space is what is gonna decide for us, how we will go about exploring space
or how we build space stations. I also think war has a lot more to it than
people being cramned into each other. granting that is probably one factor,
war is a more complex issue. but to get this message back on topic, how
bout looking at some issues that a lot of sci fi and fantasy authors
usually go on saying are the reasons for their wars? how bout Raymond E.
Feist., that would probably illustrate space, yet they had the power to go
to other worlds with that one.

PA> Nuclear power and nuclear waste *are not* going to kill this

Well, Mark, you make quite a few FALSE ASSUMPTIONS so I am surprised at
you! My original message is appended below - hardly a one or two liner!

Try checking out the topic before rushing to judgement.

-> Possibly. Certainly *I* don't watch it. But its more likely that
-> if your message was one of those one or two line "Nowhere Man is
-> cool! Let's talk about it!" messages, it was simply ignored.
-> When a message like that pops up, it generally gets ignored. That
-> kind of opening generally indicates a newbie, and one who apparently
-> has little to say (else he would have gone into more detail about
-> what he thinks, and what he wants to talk about).

If you don't watch it, why bother responding to my question about the
show? Try reading the original message below!

REPOST OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE
--------------------------
NOWHERE MAN FANS:

I've just discovered the series Nowhere Man starring Bruce Greenwood as
the "man on the run," Tom Veil.

Thomas Veil is a photojournalist who was married to woman named Allyson.
He has black and white photos that someone wants very badly. In the
episode I just saw: "The Incredible Derek," Tom encounters a youngster
with psychic abilites who seemingly has the power to delve into other's
lives and becomes upset by frightening images and words. Tom found the
boy while on a trip to a town out in "the boonies" where he was trying
to track down an old U.S. Army HumVee(sp?) vehicle which had the licence
plate numbers of the one he documented in his photgraphs.

BTW: The negative which seems to be "central" to this episode shows
some army soldiers (or mercenaries?) who have just murdered (by hanging)
four men somehwere in a jungle-like setting. I haven't a clue as to why
the men were killed but because Tom Veil possesses negatives of the
scene "someone:" is after him.

The series appears to be inspired, to a degree, by the old British hit
"The Prisoner." In addition, I detect a similarity in Tom Veil's
character to that of Dr. Richard Kimbal, the main character in the old
TV series "The Fuguitive" - the same kind of vulnerability and
well-earned paranoia.

The only other episode I have seen was a while ago. A story called:
"Paradise on Your Doorstep." This story finds Tom Veil in a place
called New Phoenix, a "community" very reminiscent of some of the
religious "cults" which have been a part of late 20th Century history.
People in the "community" seem outwardly content but also seem to have
lost their identity. What lead Tom Veil to this place was a photo of
his wife, Alyson. Tom was working at a photo shop in a small town and
happened upon the shot when he was processing a customer's film.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Now, what I'd like to know is more about the story line to date.

1. Who is this group which seems to want to use any method to get at
    Tom's film and his diary?

2. Am I correct in concluding that, at one time, Tom Veil was placed in
an insane asylum by this group in an effort to coerce him into
    cooperating?

3. Is there anything else in Tom's set of negative that the "group"
seems to want to get from him?

4. What role, if any has his wife played in this conspiracy. I.E. do
you get the impression she is some innocent victim too or is she
part of the process of "taking out" Tom Veil?

5. At any point in the series, has there appeared ANYONE who is playing
an on-going supporter for Tom? If there has not, he really IS up to
    his a** in "alligators!"

I would appreaciate any input you can provide for me to help me get
    "up to speed."

    Cheers,

    -Rob

B5 sucks? How'd you arrive at that opinion? Several of the people who
created the original Trek are involved with the show, and you say it
 sucks?

Sorry, kid. Until you can give me a rational basis for your opinion of
B5, we have nothing to talk about. An emotional response is simply not
acceptable. Give me a rational response, or go away.

You're a prince, Nicolai. They've been advertising this, but things
have been so hectic of late that I'd forget my own head if it weren't
bolted on. The problem is that I'll have to find something to blank in
order to tape it; I'm outta cash, and all the tapes I bought last month
have been dedicated to B5 episodes already...

I s'pose I can always erase that copy of the ST:Voyager pilot...

RL> 1. Deep Space Nine once

RL> 2. Hosting the Alien Autopsy Special

RL> 3. Once on Cybil Shepard's series (she turned down his offer for a

 RL> ------------------------------------------------------------------

RL> He always struck me as an actor who took on his role in STTNG
RL> with great earnest and a zest for life. Has anyone seen or heard
 RL> anything else about Frakes?

Oh, Ghod, yes, Rob! He turns up all over the place. A few weeks back,
he and the wife popped up on Lois & Clark as the Yuppies From Hell, a
pair of greedy swine who were basically Donald and Ivana's evil twins.
Frakes, along with Marina Sirtis, Ed Asner, David Warner and Morgan
Sheppard are regulars on Gargoyles, Disney's astonishing dark fantasy
series. That show has attracted some awesome talent; Bill Faggerbakke,
the big blond guy from COACH, is on there, as well as Salli Richardson,
Michael Dorn, and God knows who else. The male lead, though, is one of
my favorites. Goliath is voiced by Keith David, whom you've seen in at
least three movies I can name off the top of my head; _Men At Work_,
_They Live_, and John Carpenter's remake of _The Thing_. But without
seeing his name in the credits, you'd never know he was the same guy.

Remember the scene in _Men At Work_ where Charlie Sheen and Emilio
Estevez find a dead politician stuffed into a garbage can? Remember
their boss, Lewis, who looked into the can and said,

"Oh, look. Somebody done threw away a perfectly good white boy."

Remember him? That's Keith David, one of the finest tough-guy character
actors of all time, a big, broad-shouldered badass. And he's playing
one of the most romantic characters since Vincent. I think it's way
