Yes but it would take years to get anywhere. Just going to our nearest
star would take a long time. do we have the cargo space for years worth of
travel. Would we have to build genration ships?
MJ> Nuclear energy is far safer than many other kinds. (The same week the

MJ> ago now, over fifty people died when a coal processing plant blew up.
MJ> So far nobody has been killed by TMI.)
Oh ever hear of radiation poisoning. case in point, the russians that
were in the epicenter and the surrounding are of chenobyl. Not to mention
now that because of nuclear bombs and chenobyl every baby born now has some
plutonium in their lungs. We also have radioactive stuff in our
stratosphere that takes way to long to become safe. Some of the nuclear
energy that we are messing around with and that we would have to use has way
to long half life spans. some of the half life that it would take would be
many thousands of years in the future. Probably wouldn't be stable until
another ice age has passed. I'm presuming TMI is something to do with
nuclear energy.

I watched the Invaders miniseries as well. I have the original series on
tape from the sci-fi channel. I like the original and liked the star, Roy
Thinnes a lot. However, when they did this mini series, they used his name in
big letters in the credits and gave him a small part (he passed on the journal
to Scott Backulas character). It was just as well, because he seems to have
forgotten how to act. I do like Scott Backula, which was the saving grace. They
also changed a lot of things about the aliens. They didn't "shake" and cause
things, they didn't smoke or breath fumes, and when they died, their remains
were ash, instead of flies. It seems they took several liberties with a good
series and screwed up.

I also like Red Dwarf. My husband and I watched a friends tapes and noone
else we know besides him knows much about it. It has been a couple of years
though since I've seen them. I have seen it listed in the sattelite guide, but
haven't tuned in. There is always something else going on, or it is too late. It
was a great show though, and has a lot of good things to quote!
Is it still being filmed?

Hey! I was just reading messages and noticed you and Marc talking about
Highlander, the series, my favorite show. I have been trying to find people to
talk about it with and haven't had much success. My husband and I are members of
the official Highlander club in Denver and went there in October for the
convention. Adrian Paul, Stan Kirsch, Jim Byrnes, and Peter Wingfield were
there. Also the producer, writer and sword master. We had a great time and got
pictures and autographs and spent way to much money.
Are you interested enough in Highlander to join a few of us in watching the
series from the beginning? I have pre-recorded euro versions and a surround
sound system. If you are, meet us at Pizzettis at 10910 E. 31st on Dec. 1st at
6:30. My husband and I will be wearing Highlander T-shirts. We will probably
watch the first 3 or 4 episodes that night and get together again probably about
once a month.

Hello, David. I was just reading messages and I am excited to find several
Highlander fans on here. I was just about to give up on finding anybody who
wanted to talk about it. I can confirm that I have also heard about Christopher
Lamberts near blindness. He normally wears glasses, but had to take them off to
film. From what I hear, that made sword fights a little tricky!
My husband and I are members of the official Highlander club out of Denver.
We went to the Highlander convention there in October. Four of the actors, the
producer, the writer and the swordmaster were there. It was great!
If you are interested enough in Highlander to meet a few other fans who
like it and watch the series from the beginning together, join us at Pizzettis
at 10910 E. 31st on Dec 1st at 6:30. We will probably watch the first 3 or 4
episodes that night. I have pre-recorded euro-versions and a surround sound

Highlander T-shirts.
Please write to me as well!

Do you like Highlander, the series?
Do you like it well enough to watch it from the beginning with other Highlander

If so, or if you would just like to meet with some other Highlander fans, please
meet us at Pizzettis at 10910 E. 31st on Dec 1st at 6:30. We will probably watch

Also, my husband and I are members of the official Highlander club out of Denver
and would like to share info from them. We are also members of Adrian Pauls fan
club, PEACE. We went to the Highlander convention in October where four of the
actors, the producer, the writer, and the swordmaster attended. We spent
entirely too much money, but we had a great time!
Even if you don't attend, please write to me about Highlander. I love to talk
about past episodes, current episodes, the actors, you name it.
