How does Sealab 2020 sound? I'm not sure if we're talking about the same

all I ever see is Scooby Doo. By the way, I found out not too long ago that
there are 310 episodes of Scooby Doo in various incarnations (including "Pup

Only rumor I've heard: It involves a clone of Ripley, and something goes
*horribly* wrong....
And `Ressurection' may bepartof the title. (Which pre-empted it away from
Paramount, which had planned to use it in the title of the next Star Trek film.
Of course, there was a minor conflict when `ST II: The Revenge of Khan.' and
`The Revenge of the Jedi' were to comeout thesame year. In the end, neither film
used that word....)

Agreed. Espically if concepts like `negotiate' or `surrender' (us *or* them!)

Though he never explained just why, Soran explicitly said that it couldn't be
done, when Picard said there must be someother way to get him to the Nexus.
And I still say that if we're going to argue that all post-Nexus Star Trek
must be a Picard fantasy, then why not look even farther back? Could everything
be *Kirk's* fantasy, from the moment he was blown off the Enterprise-B? Or
Soran's fantasy from themoment he *first* went into the Nexus? (Though in either
case you have to say that their fantasies end in their own deaths...)
Me, I'll take it at face value, and accept that Kirk and Picard really left
the Nexus. After all, the Nexus gives you what you want, and leaving's what they
finally wanted....
(But anyone who likes this kind of confusion, I reccommend you see the movie
`Jacob's Ladder.')

There is, I believe, a major story element that will be beyond
the scope of the average viewing public. RELATIVITY:
--------------------- BEGIN HALDEMAN QUOTE ----------------------
"This is the first manifestation of a very important effect that
has heretofore been of interest only to the theorists. Tell me,
soldier," he pointed to Negulesco. How long has it been since we
first fought the Taurans, at Aleph?"
"That depends on your frame of reference," she answered
dutifully. "To me, it's been about eight months, Commodore."
"Exactly. You've lost about nine years, though, to time dilation,
while we maneuvered between collapsar jumps. In engineering
sense, as we haven't done any important research and development
during that period, . . . the enemy vessel comes from our
future!" He stopped to let that sink in.
"As the war progresses, this can only become more and more
pronounced. The Taurans don't have any cure for relativity,
though, so it will be to our benefit as often as it is to theirs.
---------------------- END HALDEMAN QUOTE -----------------------
Somehow I don't believe that the story, of a man who through
relativistic time travel survives a war lasting 1143 years to
end up in a homosexual/lesbian culture of over 10 billion
individuals with but one consciousness cloned from one of the
KIA's in his company, will appeal to the viewing public.
As far as a liberal/conservative comparison of "THE FOREVER WAR"
to "STARSHIP TROOPERS" is concerned, this Kirkus review says it
all.
---------------------- BEGIN KIRKUS QUOTE -----------------------
"THIS WAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF THE ONE HEINLEIN GLORIFIED IN
STARSHIP TROOPERS--BLOODY, CRUEL AND MEANINGLESS. A SPLENDID
THOUGHTFUL ADVENTURE!"
----------------------- END KIRKUS QUOTE ------------------------

I look ather as much as I possibly can.....
But you're right. I don't think I saw (female actress whose name I know I'll
remember two minutes after I post this) between `Labryinth' and `The Rocketeer.'
She was a pretty young lady before, but God knows she got even better looking
later!
Then there's Clint Howard who was a cute kid (`Gentle Ben' and original Trek
episode `The Corbomite Maneuver'), but unlike his brother, lost something along
the way. (see him in bit and supporting parts in any of his brother's movies)

I got up unusually early this morning due to a phone call from some
lawyer or other who claimed my phone number was on his beeper. After
explaining to him that I didn't put it there, I got up to muddle around
a bit and happened across something on TV called "Hypernauts."
Hmmmmm.
This is the show I've heard about which is produced by a lot of
Babylon 5 alumni, including the Toaster graphics. It also looks like
the makeup is done by Optic Nerve of B5 fame too.
Not sure about the show itself, but the graphics were astonishing for
the most part. My only qualm with the graphics and effects was the
clumsy, poorly-done compositing of live actors into the scenery; it
looked, for all intents and purposes, like they were standing in front
of a big flat painting.
