syndication residuals. For instance...in broadcast syndication, one of my
Murder, She Wrote episodes *would* bring in a first-time off network residual
fee of about $15,000. (It goes down a bit consistently from that point on.)
In cable, the fee is a flat one-time percentage of the overall
payment...which, in the M,SW case, means my first-time off network residual
is...$25.

The only other point of concern is that both sides would tend to view 88
episodes, 4 years, as a "full package." That's 22 short.

                                                                      jms

Futuristic beings? What would you call the people that live on
the planet below B5? I consider that technology to be quite
futuristic.

I remember it was taken to fight a war, but what war was that?
Do we know for sure? It may be the Shadow war. We will see.

I think that he will provide some form of help to G'Kar, even if
it's just "keeping his ears open" and passing on any good
information to him. His resentment of what Londo has done would
be a good motive for him to do such a thing.

Londo has gone from being a bufoon in the first season to being
a monster in the second, he may become another person in the
third. His severing his ties with the Shadows, and his fear of
the Shadows knowing what they can do, may make him become
something else. He may not turn around, but something will
happen to change him. It will be interesting.

I remember in the Star Trek episode "Day of the Dove," Kirk
tells a Klingon named Kang to "Go to the devil," and Kang
responds by saying something like "Klingon religion has no

A theory I subscribe to is that he's been so engulfed by the
darkness off dealing with the Shadows that he can't see the
light side. Anyone else have an opinion?

Without any good Sci-fi to watch, is Babylon 5 available in your
area? If you're not sure, let me know where you are, I have a
list of all stations in the country carrying it right now. It
is a very different type of show compared to the sci-fi most of
us are used to. It doesn't use all the technospeak that Trek
and it's various incarnations use, just good stories, good
science fiction. Give it a try, please. If you have web
access, visit the Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5 at

Hello. I hope that I am not intruding; you see, I've noticed the
posts concerning "Questions, but are they rhetorical?" - and I must admit
to being the one who brought up that subject line. At the time, it seemed
like a good idea; many of the postings were arguments over B_5 vs ST,
and maybe I could get a conversation going. I guess it sort of backfired.
Instead of starting some wide-ranging dialog on space travel, all it
created was some minor disagreements on the exact amount of fuel required.
        I apologize.
Another subject on this forum has been the legal/economic status
of the invtroes on SAAB. I think that subject soured pretty fast. In
fact it seems monstrous that a few posts were rationalizing "good"
 reasons for slavery. slavery SLAVERY
Even if these invitroes were no more human than Phillip Dick's androids,
that is still 100% more human than the person who would presume to own
ANY sentient entity; whether mechanical or genetically engineered.
        I quit.

TB> Does anyone know if if the Doctor in Earth 2 played Pilot in Captain
TB> Power.

A few weeks after Earth 2 premiered I read a interview with Jessica
Steen.(I have it here somewhere, If I find it I'll type it and send it
to you, or at least a list of her credits so far.)
Here is a very short list from memory; (I know there is more)

Jessica Steen has been on "Homefront" on the American Broadcasting
Corporation (ABC) in 1990-1993 as Laura Metcalf a civil rights advocate.
(Set in the 40's I think.)

She was also (duh) on Earth 2 in '94-'95 on NBC as (in the pilot, I
was told) "Dr. Julia Stern" and in all following episodes as
"Dr. Julia Heller".

To answer your question, Yes, I believe she did say she was in a
children's show in Ontario called (I think) Captain Power.
(However I could be wrong as It's been _months_ since I read that
interview.)

P.S. what does 3 in the (3:000/000) stand for?
(a.k.a. what country do you live in?)

The series was to center around Connor, but Christopher Lambert declined to to
do the show. The producers wanted to keep the concept, but the character Connor
was in the movies, so Duncan was created.
